Meet the Leading Ladies of "The Girl on the Train" Movie
Paula Hawkins' "The Girl on the Train" is the Regina George of 2015's books: Everywhere you look, people are either obsessing over it, talking about it to anyone who will listen, or hunting for a similar book to fill the void left when it's done.
And now, the 'it girl' of books is about to become the darling of the silver screen — especially with the casting of these three actresses.
Meet the ladies bringing Anna, Rachel, and Megan to life.
Emily Blunt as RACHEL
Where You've Last Seen Her: As the Baker's wife in the Disney fairy tale adaptation, "Into the Woods."
Who She'll Play: Blunt is the girl on the train, Rachel, a down-on-her-luck alcoholic divorcee who spends her commute fascinated by a seemingly perfect couple who live in a house down the street from the home she shared with her husband.
Rebecca Ferguson as ANNA
Where You've Last Seen Her: Opposite Tom Cruise in "Mission: Impossible — Rogue Nation"
Who She'll Play: Ferguson is Anna, the woman who Rachel's husband had an affair with — and eventually left Rachel for and married. She now lives in the home Rachel and Tom shared as a married couple, down the street from the couple Rachel idolizes.
Haley Bennett as MEGAN
Where You've Last Seen Her: In "The Equalizer" with Denzel Washington
Who She'll Play: Bennett rounds out the three leading ladies as Megan, the female half of the couple that Rachel watches each day from the train — until she goes missing.
