Ashley Graham Just Made History (Again) With Her Latest Cover
This year, supermodel Ashley Graham has proved she's in the business of making history and shattering barriers.
In 2016 alone, she became the first "plus-size" model to appear on the cover of Sports Illustrated's Swimsuit Issue, was named a judge on the forthcoming season of America's Next Top Model, had a Barbie modeled after her (with no thigh gap, thank you very much), and was named on of our Women of the Year. And now, Ashley can add another milestone to her resumé as she covers the January 2017 issue of Vogue UK.
Shot by famed photographer (and frequent Glamour contributor) Patrick Demarchelier, the shot features a clean-faced Graham with windswept hair and a patched and embellished Coach leather jacket. This signals not only a step forward in Ashley Graham's career as her first Vogue cover, but a historic moment for Vogue UK as its first cover featuring a "plus-size" model.
Hopefully this serves as an example for several other publications, brands, and body shamers that beauty and style don't come in one size, as has long been Graham's (and Glamour's) mantra.
