This Athletic 86-Year-Old Nun In Nike's New Ad Will Make You Feel Lazy

Madonna Buder is an 86-year-old nun who is smashing the stereotypes of what it means to be strong. The Spokane resident is known as the "Iron Nun," and Nike's Unlimited Youth campaign shows the world how she earned her tough nickname.

In the opening scene of the campaign video, Buder starts her day off with a morning prayer in a cathedral, but that seems to be the only chill part of her day. In the next scene she hits the pavement for a run. Then, she works in a swim near the mountains before biking down a winding road. The narrator asks her if she’s ready to take a nap, and she confidently responds, "I don't think so."

Instead of resting, Buder takes her workout to the next level by competing in a grueling Ironman challenge, which includes a 2.24 mile swim, a 112 mile bike ride, and a 26.22 mile run. That sounds like the type of triathlon that people participate in once in a lifetime, but Buder revealed that she’s taken on the challenge 45 times. That's nothing short of impressive at any age. She's a certified badass, and Nike perfectly captured some of her hard work in this epic video.
