The Career of Diane Sawyer

Diane Sawyer announced today that she will be stepping down as anchor of "ABC World News." Diane has been a leader for women in media and climbed the ranks with peers Barbara Walters and Connie Chung to be the first female anchors on America's most respected news networks.

Diane has said she will move into a full-time role at ABC News, anchoring high-profile interviews and investigative reporting specials.  In honor of her move, MAKERS has put together a few highlights of her life as a journalist.

We can't wait to see what she does next.
