Ellen DeGeneres Is Asking You to Get Your "Woman Cards" Ready for Her Upcoming Show

Ellen DeGeneres Is Asking You to Get Your "Woman Cards" Ready for Her Upcoming Show

MAKER Ellen DeGeneres is asking everyone to get their "woman cards" ready for Wednesday's "The Ellen DeGeneres Show."

After Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump alleged rival Hillary Clinton has been relying on her "woman card," some women expressed their outrage, pointing to the inequalities that women still face today. In response, the Clinton campaign even created actual woman cards.

Now DeGeneres will be taking the idea head-on as she hosts the Democratic presidential candidate as well as a line-up of "Ghostbusters" stars including Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Jones, Kristen Wiig, and Kate McKinnon. Clinton's appearance on this week's show will be the third time this cycle that she has appeared with DeGeneres.

And in recent weeks, the "Ghostbusters" female cast has been battling opposition from a campaign driven by male critics. The film's first trailer, released in March, became the most disliked trailer in YouTube history because of one simple fact: the ghostbusters are female.
