Former Basketball Champion Lisa Leslie Honored at WNBA's Top 20@20

This weekend MAKER Lisa Leslie and 19 other WNBA players were honored as the "greatest and most influential players in its history," making up the association's Top 20@20, presented by Verizon.

Among the top 20 players recognized were nine current players — Seimone Augustus, Sue Bird, Swin Cash, Tamika Catchings, Maya Moore, Candace Parker, Cappie Pondexter, Diana Taurasi, and Lindsay Whalen — and 11 former players (including Leslie) — Cynthia Cooper, Yolanda Griffith, Becky Hammon, Lauren Jackson, Deanna Nolan, Ticha Penicheiro, Katie Smith, Sheryl Swoopes, Tina Thompson, and Teresa Weatherspoon.

In honor of the WNBA's "landmark" 20th season, these awards were given to only the best who, according to WNBA President Lisa Borders, "represent all that the WNBA stands for both on and off the court. On the court they have taken the game to new heights... Off the court they have been pillars of the community and stewards of social change."
