Twitter Users Really Want "Frozen" Heroine to Have a Girlfriend in Sequel
Some people have celebrated the Academy-Award winning theme song "Let It Go" from Disney's "Frozen" as an LGBT anthem.
Others have interpreted the film as a "coming out" experience for Elsa, the film's powerful heroine who ditched the traditional "happily ever after" plot line to instead honor the relationship with her sister.

Now the record-breaking 2013 film "Frozen" is up for a sequel and Twitter users are calling for Disney to give Elsa a girlfriend with the hashtag #GiveElsaAGirlfriend.
The first tweet under the hashtag has been retweeted more than 1,600 times.
Some critics consider "Frozen" to be Disney's best performing film. The blockbuster also ranked as the highest grossing animated film of all time. The sequel, "Frozen 2," is currently in production.
If Elsa were given a girlfriend in "Frozen 2," she would become the first LGBT princess in Disney films. See below for a collection of #GiveElsaAGirlfriend tweets.
