Get Your Cape On With These Girl Action Figures for National Superhero Day

The DC Superhero Girls, a new line of action figures based on DC comic book heroes, may just be the best thing since Barbie's new look.

Mattel recently rolled out the new line featuring characters like Wonder Woman and Supergirl that each come in the form of 6-inch action figures and 12-inch dolls.

The toys are also accompanied by a mobile app.

And despite pushback on the production of female action figures, it turns out girls are willing to buy them.

The DC Superhero Girls hit stores in March exclusively at Target though sales have driven Mattel's president, Richard Dickson, to flag the toys to investors. The line will be sold more widely in June.

So are you ready to get your cape on?
