Inside The MAKERS Boston Screening
On Tuesday Nov. 20, two days before Thanksgiving, MAKERS gathered in Boston's WGBH theater to celebrate the upcoming premiere of the documentary MAKERS: Women Who Make America.
The memorable evening was filled with drinks, food, conversation and a special appearance by Kathrine Switzer, the first woman to officially run the Boston Marathon. Kathrine discussed how she entered the race using only her initials and the experience of being cursed at and physically attacked during the race by a race official because she was a woman.
The evening also featured a look at the upcoming film and a speech by filmmaker Dyllan McGee. Guests had the opportunity to meet the executive team behind the documentary, which is set to launch on PBS stations on February 26, 2013 at 8:00 PM EST.
