The It Girls of Fall TV 2015: Emma Roberts, Priyanka Chopra, and 13 More Stars to Put on Your Radar
This fall TV season is shaping up to be better than Christmas (and we're only slightly exaggerating). But with this roster of leading ladies and their addictive shows — from newcomers like Jaimie Alexander in Blindspot to returning favorites like Taraji P. Henson on "Empire" — that claim isn't too far of a stretch. Here are all the women we'll be watching this season.

Jaimie Alexander, "Blindspot" | Typically, when a Jane Doe pops up in a procedural drama, it's on a medical examiner's table—but Blindspot is flipping both concepts on its head. The new series introduces a woman with no memory (played by the brilliant Jaimie Alexander), but she has the skills of a special agent—and a mystery plot driven not by crimes but by cryptic tattoos adorned on her body. Emma Roberts, "Scream Queens" | Scream Queens" might have the most packed cast in the entire fall TV schedule—from singers like Nick Jonas and Ariana Grande to acting vets Jaime Lee Curtis and Lea Michelle—but leading the killer ensemble is the equally sweet-and-sassy Emma Roberts (PS: Don't miss her Glamour TV issue cover interview!) She'll deliver screams and giggles in the campy thriller as Kappa president Chanel Oberlin, as she deals with a red-masked killer committing murders in her sorority. Premieres September 22 at 8 P.M. ET on FOX.
Constance Wu, "Fresh Off the Boat" | The lack of Emmy love for Constance Wu this year still stings, but that's not stopping her from dishing out the tough love to all the Huangs on ABC's breakout family comedy Fresh Off the Boat. Wu manages to make the tiger mom both fearful and funny— an impressive feat for a comedy novice. Returns September 22 at 8:30 P.M. ET on ABC. Photo Credit: Pamela Hanson
Miss Piggy, "The Muppets" | We're already invested in ABC's new comedy The Muppets, and it's only partly because we adore those Jim Henson puppets so much: Miss Piggy as a single lady and the sassy host of Up Late With Miss Piggy is also piquing our interest in a major way. Premieres September 22 at 8 P.M. ET on ABC. Photo Credit: Getty Images
Taraji P. Henson, "Empire" | Cookie's back, boo-boo kitty! The Lyon family matriarch looks to be wielding lots of power—and screen time—in season two of Empire, thanks to Lucious being behind bars and Cookie's protege Jamal holding the top spot at Empire Records (for now, at least). Continued fabulous outfits and one-liners are a given. (PS: Don't miss Taraji P. Henson's Glamour TV issue cover interview!) Returns September 23 at 9 P.M. ET on FOX. Photo Credit: FOX
Kiki Sukezane, Danika Yarosh, and Eve Harlow, "Heroes Reborn" | Heroes fans, rejoice: NBC is reviving the series for 13 episodes this September and refreshing the cast with some new faces—including Kiki Sukezane, Danika Yarosh, and Eve Harlow. Little is known about these new Evos and their extraordinary powers, but what we do know is that they'll provide plenty of heart-stopping action within the miniseries time frame. Premieres September 24 at 8 P.M. ET on NBC. Photo Credit: Pamela Hanson
Priyanka Chopra, "Quantico" | We're not naming any names, but plenty of spy thrillers have missed the mark on television—and we're happy to report Quantico is not one of them, thanks in large part to Bollywood crossover Priyanka Chopra. She shines in her first American TV role and helps hook us into the How to Get Away With Murder-meets-Homeland story line. Premieres September 27 at 10 P.M. ET on ABC. Photo Credit: ABC
Lady Gaga, "American Horror Story: Hotel" | Calling all little monsters: There's a new leading lady in Ryan Murphy's horror franchise. Lady Gaga is checking in to the latest installment of AHS as the fabulously wealthy owner of Hotel Cortez—and the calculating mastermind of a wicked scheme that plays out all season. Returns October 7 at 10 P.M. ET on FX. Photo Credit: Getty Images
Gina Rodriguez, "Jane the Virgin" | We first fell in love with Gina Rodriguez during the debut season of Jane the Virgin and then fell even harder during her darling Golden Globes acceptance speech. ("Today is a great day...I can and I will.") Season two will most likely bring us to a full-blown obsession, with Jane as a mother and Sin Rostro still on the loose. (PS: Don't miss her Glamour TV issue cover interview!) Returns October 12 at 9 P.M. ET on the CW. Photo Credit: CW
