Kathy Griffin’s Honest Note Signals "Fashion Police" Exit

On Thursday night, Kathy Griffin announced she will depart Fashion Police after stepping into the shoes of the late Joan Rivers for seven episodes on the E! series. "I do not want to use my comedy to contribute to a culture of unattainable perfectionism and intolerance towards difference," she said.

"I want to help women, gay kids, people of color and anyone who feels underrepresented to have a voice and a LAUGH!" Griffin continued.

The comedian thought she could bring her brand of funny to "Fashion Police," continuing Rivers' legacy, but turns out it wasn’t a fit. Her note of explanation seems like a great display of self-awareness and honesty. Because Griffin stands up for what she believes in, it'll be exciting to see what she does next.
