Katie Couric to Emcee the New York Women in Communications' 2017 Matrix Awards

In 1970, New York Women in Communications, Inc (NYWICI) launched its annual Matrix Awards event to recognize distinguished women in communications.

This year, MAKER Katie Couric will emcee the event on April 24 to honor: Foreign Correspondent of The New York Times, Rukmini Callimachi; journalist and Women's empowerment advocate, Gretchen Carlson; Global Chief Creative Officer of FCB, Susan Credle; Co-Anchor of "TODAY" & Chief Legal Correspondent of NBC News, Savannah Guthrie; Chief Marketing Officer of JP Morgan Chase, Kristin Lemkau; Founder & CEO of Smith & Company, Judy Smith; and EVP & Chief Marketing Officer of Meredith National Media Group, Nancy Weber.

According to NYWICI, past winners have included (but are not limited to) MAKERS Geena Davis, Christiane Amanpour, Barbara Walters, Arianna Huffington, and Gloria Steinem.
