Katie Couric to Deliver UW-Madison's Commencement Speech

Award-winning journalist and TV personality Katie Couric will speak at the University of Wisconsin-Madison's commencement May 16.

The spring 2015 commencement exercises will consist of a single ceremony for both undergraduates and most master’s degree candidates at Camp Randall Stadium, 1440 Monroe St.

“Katie Couric’s impactful career as a trailblazer for women in television and journalism, as well as her extensive philanthropic efforts in areas such as cancer awareness, make her ideal to inspire the Class of 2015 this May,” senior class vice president Annie Paul said.

The ceremony is scheduled to begin at noon, the university’s website reports
