Leslie Jones Jokes About Nude-Photo Hack During Emmys
Leslie Jones just got the last word on her Twitter harassment and website hack — and in a big way. At first it seemed like we were going to have to endure TV time from the accountants at Ernst & Young, but as soon as we heard "and Leslie Jones," it became apparent this Emmys moment would be anything but dull. Jones, whose Twitter account and Web site were both attacked this summer, pleaded with the accountants to turn their attention to something a little more pressing: her social media.
First, she made a very relatable point, calling the Emmys secrets the accountants were brought out to divulge "boring." Come on, there's a reason host Jimmy Kimmel gave Jeffrey Tambor a statue ahead of his category. Instead, she turned her attention to her own controversy. "I just wanted to feel beautiful, ya'll!" she said about the nude photos that were leaked. "Come on, let's go," she told the accountants after her mic-dropping comments. And with that, she led them offstage. Haters and hackers to the left.
