Lupita Nyong'o Visits Her Family Home and Farm in Kenya
Vogue’s October cover and star of the upcoming "Queen of Katwe" — a film based on the true story of Ugandan international chess champion Phiona Mutesi — took time out of her whirlwind schedule to visit family in their home near Kisumu, Kenya.
Traveling back home for the magazine's cover shoot, Lupita Nyong'o stopped by her parents Dorothy and Peter’s home for a walk through their farm, to climb fruit trees, and to have a traditional Kenyan cooking lesson outside on the terrace. She may now be one of the world's most sought-after actresses but her roots run deep. Watch as one of the six Nyong'o children — the one the world now knows and adores — goes home.
