MAKERS launches the stories of 10 Chinese MAKERS
This week, MAKERS.com launches the ten Chinese MAKERS videos. These groundbreaking women are leading the way in China in fields ranging from dance to government affairs. MAKERS partnered with Yang Lan, founder of Sun Media Group, which is one of China’s leading private media companies, to launch MAKERS China and tell the stories of extraordinary Chinese women.
As MAKERS aims to be the largest collection of women’s stories ever assembled, the partnership allows the brand to tell more women's stories, create a new cultural exchange between American and Chinese women, and reach a wider audience. The stories of the ten Chinese MAKERS will be distributed on Yang Lan’s online destination for women, Her Village, which reaches hundreds of million viewers and consumers worldwide each month.
We’re also excited that Time.com, which reaches 122 million monthly viewers, is promoting the launch and posted the 10 stories in their article entitled "Meet 10 of China’s Most Powerful Women.” Throughout the week, MAKERS.com will also feature stories on the women's outstanding accomplishments and the social change that they have affected in their professional fields, country, and around the world.
From famed actress Gong Li to Olympic coach Li Han to investigative journalist Hu Shuli, the incredible, eclectic group of women have powerful stories of overcoming discrimination, pain, and poverty. Recognized by the quality of its impactful original programming, these ten powerful stories of Chinese women can educate and impact people everywhere.
