Marlo Thomas Celebrates 20-Year Partnership With Target and St. Jude
While each year is a special one for the partnership between St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and Target, with an annual winter Bullseye's Bash, 2016 was a little extra special.
This year marks the 20th year anniversary of St. Jude's partnership with Target — a partnership that has allowed Target to build a free home-away-from-home in Tennessee called the Target House, donate millions of dollars worth of products and grants, sponsor fundraising events annually, ensure families never receive St. Jude bills, fuel childhood cancer research, and so much more.
Among St. Jude Children's Research Hospital's many members is MAKER Marlo Thomas, the hospital's National Outreach Director who celebrated the 20-year partnership anniversary with gratitude.
"Having Target by our side all these years in this vital partnership is a blessing to the children of St. Jude and their Moms and Dads... Target has demonstrated that it is truly devoted to St. Jude's mission of finding cures and saving children — and to helping us keep my father’s founding promise that no family pays St. Jude for anything," Thomas stated in a video expressing her thanks. "So thank you — to all of you at Target, from all of us — for being such a special part of our St. Jude family."
