'Ms.' Miniseries in the Works with Marisa Tomei Playing Gloria Steinem
HBO is developing a miniseries called “Ms.,” which will depict the creation of Ms. Magazine through the eyes of one of its founders, Gloria Steinem. The Wrap announced Monday that Oscar winner Marisa Tomei will play Steinem, while Kathy Najimy (who currently plays a recurring character on HBO’s "Veep") will play U.S. Representative Bella Abzug.
Tomei and Najimy are also executive producing the project, while Steinem serves as a consultant. Bruce Cohen, the producer behind “American Beauty” and “Silver Linings Playbook,” joins the executive production team along with George Clooney and Grant Heslov (“Argo,” “The Ides of March”).
