The Powerful Message Behind These Sneakers
Titled "Word to the Woman," the Puma x Solange sneakers were made with extraordinary women in mind. The Fall 2015 collection was just unveiled, featuring suede styles ($90), and this is the first drop of the two-part capsule collection.
In keeping with Solange Knowles and Puma's efforts to make "strong shoes for strong women," the sneaker campaign celebrates 15 influential females from various industries who are passionate about empowering women. Case in point: Clinical Research Coordinator at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, Mekdes Mersha (above) — proving that these aren't just models, they're role models.
