Sarah Jessica Parker's First Boutique Is Opening Soon
MAKER Sarah Jessica Parker is known for her "Sex and the City" character Carrie Bradshaw's legendary fashion pieces — especially her statement shoes.
From being the face of GAP to launching her own fragrance line, Parker is no stranger to the fashion industry.
In 2014, Parker designed a shoe line named the SJP Collection, which was previously only available at Bloomingdale's and Nordstrom.
But as of December 8, that exclusivity will change. The first ever SJP Collection boutique will not only carry the admired shoe line, but also the recently launched line of little black dresses and jewelry.
Surprisingly, the new store will not be in the fashion capital of New York City, but it will be opening somewhere no one could guess.
Parker took to Instagram to reveal the store's location at the MGM National Harbor, a new casino and luxury retail center located in the heart of Washington D.C.
Today I reveal every detail of our long held secret! After many trips on @amtrak to DC, on-site construction visits, meetings on design and curating a very special collection we are opening our first standalone @sjpcollection store inside the brand new @mgmnationalharbor. The big launch is on December 8th and I'm counting down the hours, minutes and seconds until we officially open the doors. Because perhaps then I will actually believe it's real. Follow @sjpcollection to learn more over the coming weeks and months. X, Sj
