Senate Passes Bill 54-46 to Defund Planned Parenthood

In a 54-46 vote on Thursday, Senate Republicans "overwhelmed Democrats" and passed a bill to completely defund Planned Parenthood and would "all but repeal the president's health care law," according to an NBC News report.

The bill will be routed to President Obama in the next few days, where he is expected to veto it.

Planned Parenthood recently suffered a mass shooting at its Colorado Springs center that many are calling an act of domestic terrorism.

"This man went in one clinic with the intention of killing all women attempting to get access to abortion and healthcare," said NARAL Pro-Choice America President Ilyse Hogue. "This is the absolute definition of domestic terrorism. This was not a random shooting like we unfortunately see all over."
