Serena Williams Recites "Still I Rise" By Maya Angelou

On Saturday, Serena Williams made history at Wimbledon as she won her 22nd grand slam title.

With resilience, dominance, and commitment, Williams defeated her opponent Angelique Kerber with a 7-5, 6-3 victory.

BBC Sport released a montage of Williams delivering the impactful poem over footage portraying her life from a childhood tennis player to present day.

During the 2015 Sports IllustratedSportsperson of the Year acceptance speech, Williams said she admired Maya Angelou and she is her favorite poet.
