"SLUT: The Play" Sparks Conversation About Sexism and Sexual Violence

AOL’s BUILD series hosted a discussion Monday about “SLUT: The Play” at AOL headquarters in New York.

“House of Cards” creator and writer Beau Willimon joined Jennifer Baumgardner of The Feminist Press onstage to discuss the play Gloria Steinhem has called, “Truthful, raw and immediate.”

“SLUT: The Play” follows the story of a 16-year-old girl who is raped by three friends during a night out. The theatrical production highlights the damaging impact of slut culture and the importance of being heard.
