The Swedish Women's Soccer Team Changed Its Jersey Names to Inspirational Tweets

In a new initiative by the Swedish Football Association, names no longer appear on the back of jerseys worn by athletes on Sweden's women's soccer team. Instead, they have been replaced by inspiring tweets by Swedish women of the player's choosing.

The campaign, which was unveiled at the Algarve Cup in Portugal, aims to "inspire young women to believe in themselves" with the help of Adidas and #InYourName.

According to BBC Newsbeat, these jerseys will go on sale for International Women's Day on March 8, and "10 percent of the cash made from the shirts will go to a Swedish group that supports young female athletes."
