This #TBT, Influencers Around the World Are Sharing Their School Photos for an Amazing Cause

On Thursday, women and men around the world posted their school photos to Twitter, rallying for the universal right to education. In many parts of the world, people take school for granted, but it’s not a given for everyone. Today, 30 million girls are still denied an education.

A World at School has made it their mission to realize every child’s right to go to school. They’ve created a petition that aims to bring an end to the barriers that prevent girls and boys from going to school, like forced work and early marriage. The movement is called #UpForSchool, and it has over 3 million supporters so far. To raise awareness leading up to International Women’s Day, #UpForSchool started the #TBT school picture social media campaign. Some familiar faces have chimed in for the cause—we gathered some of the best snaps in the slideshow above.
