Which Incredible Women Inspire Allison Williams? She Shares Her MAKERS Playlist!

Allison Williams MAKERS

If you haven’t heard, I’m the new brand ambassador for Simple®. It’s so exciting, especially since I know how challenging maintaining healthy-looking skin can be. Women are busier than ever. Believe me, I’ve tried so many products over time that my bathroom practically became a drugstore. I must say, it’s a relief to have finally found something that doesn’t make my skin yell at me.

And I was so thrilled to see that Simple is about more than just skincare! It’s a brand that celebrates women – our authenticity, ideals and entrepreneurial spirits, as a proud partner of MAKERS. The series is stunning, and I only wish it were around when I was growing up!

Earlier this year, I was honored to attend the New York premiere of “MAKERS: Women Who Make America." I got a sneak peak at the film, and I got to meet legendary MAKERS like Gloria Steinem and spend time with the always-inspirational Katie Couric. This was such a special experience for me to hear their individual stories firsthand.

I’ve spent a lot of time watching one inspiring story after another, so I thought I'd share some of my favorites with you in MAKERS very first ever playlist

Some of my favorite MAKERS stories are Gloria's and Katie's, but also Carol Burnett, Hillary Rodham Clinton, Nora Ephron, Oprah Winfrey, Ellen DeGeneres, Condoleezza Rice, Barbara Walters, and Marlo Thomas, to name just a few. These particular stories resonated for me because they are all strong women with amazing careers who have stayed true to who they are. They've also changed the roles women play in media — in front of and behind the camera. It reminds me of how far we've come and how much I appreciate the career I am able to have because of the barriers they broke.

So, check out my playlist, share it with your friends, and then create your own!
