This Woman Celebrated Her Job Offer Like a Wedding Proposal, and It Was Amazing
Being single in the age of social media can be tough. Ask anyone in her 20s or 30s, and she might tell you about how her social media feeds are inundated with engagements, weddings, and even babies. But why not celebrate other major life milestones as well?
Benita Abraham, a 37-year-old California resident, decided her new job offer deserves as much beach-side photography and fanfare as any imminent nuptials, so she modeled the announcement after an engagement photo shoot. Check out some of the photos from her Facebook profile below.
"So excited to share my happy news with my FB family!" Abraham wrote in the post accompanying the photos, taken by Liju Mathew. "I finally found my soulmate, my perfect match, my boo. After seven long months, I found the perfect job with a company that truly cares about its employees and one I will learn so much from."
Abraham treated herself to a day at the beach with said boo, a giant #Employed cookie, new work shoes, and a celebratory mug.
Now employed in health care administration, Abraham told the Huffington Post that she "really wanted to share my good news with friends and family in a fun, creative and silly way that reflects my personality."
If that personality is any indication, her employer is about to start a beautiful journey.
