Women React to Megyn Kelly, the "Real Winner" of the GOP Debate
Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly has been called the "real winner" of last week's Republican presidential primary debate.
From challenging Florida Senator Marco Rubio on his previous support of abortion exceptions for victims of incest and rape, to getting Dr. Ben Carson to all but endorse waterboarding, Kelly got the answers people were hoping would be asked of the candidates.
Perhaps the most memorable part of the debate — and the part that won her the title of the "real winner" — was Kelly's showdown with Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump that continued long after the debate and through the weekend.
According to a Fortune report, Kelly called out Trump for supporting Hillary Clinton, once being pro-choice, and calling women names such as "fat pigs, dogs and disgusting animals."
Trump called Kelly's questions "ridiculous" and "off-base," according to CNN.
"You could see there was blood coming out of her eyes," Trump told CNN's Don Lemon on Friday night. "Blood coming out of her wherever."
On Monday, Kelly addressed Trump's attack against her on her Fox News program, according to the New York Times.
"I certainly will not apologize for doing good journalism, so I'll continue doing my job without fear or favor," she told viewers on her show, "The Kelly File.
We’ve gathered some reactions to Kelly from some inspiring women on Twitter. Here's what they had to say:
What Trump said about Megyn Kelly is outrageous—but what's really outrageous is Republicans' actual positions on issues that affect women.
