New Study: Nearly 50 Percent of Women in the UK Cancel Plans Because of Nothing to Wear
For further proof of how much fashion can affect our moods: A new study from the U.K. reports that nearly half of all British women queried reported having canceled plans because they felt like they didn't have anything to wear. No good!
While reading numbers like that can make you feel a bit WTF'ish, it's a feeling that every woman's likely encountered at some point. The crazy truth of the matter is that it all boils down to something called the Pareto Principle, an economics-derived formula that, applied to fashion, says we wear 20 percent of the clothes we own 80 percent of the time. The likelihood that any of us actually don't have anything to wear is pretty much slim to none.
To start wearing more of your clothes, it's a wise idea to dive a bit deeper into your closet. Start of by getting rid of stuff you don't need (we've got 16 things to toss, stat) and making sure your space is as organized as humanly possible. For inspiration, you can't do much better than Khloe Kardashian, who's displayed masterful skills in both her fitness closet and kitchen.
