As Chief Operating Officer at Morgan Stanley Wealth Management, Sara works collaboratively with members of
the Executive Committee to coordinate key strategic initiatives and growth opportunities as well as manage business planning, reporting and budgeting processes. She provides business oversight of the day-to-day activities of the Firm’s operating platform, including Technology, Operations, Administration, Risk, and the corporate functions supporting Wealth Management.
Prior to her current role, Sara was Head of Strategic Lead Management. She joined the Firm in 2010 as Chief Operating Officer of Morgan Stanley Investment Management's Long Only business and has 16 years of industry experience.
Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Sara served as Chief Operating Officer for Global Corporate and Investment Banking at Bank of America Merrill Lynch from 2009. Prior to Merrill Lynch’s merger with Bank of America she served as Head of Investor Relations for ML & Co. From 2004 to 2007, she had a variety of leadership roles focused on strategy for the Global Markets and Investment Banking group. From 1997 to 2004, Sara was a banker in the Global Media Investment Banking group where she completed a broad range of M & A transactions and equity and debt financings.
In addition to mentoring other women at the Firm, Sara hosts various corporate and philanthropic events to connect, engage and broaden women's professional networks.
Sara received a BSE in Mechanical Engineering from Duke University in 1997. She enjoys photography and traveling with her husband and three children.
