Deirdre Bigley is a seasoned marketing communications executive whose 25 year career has focused on high-technology and financial services industries. As Chief Marketing Officer, Deirdre oversees the marketing for all Bloomberg businesses including Financial Products, Media and the Vertical Industries globally. Prior to joining Bloomberg in 2009, Deirdre spent 13 years at IBM, served in increasingly more senior positions, managing a variety of marketing and sales initiatives and serving her final years as Vice President of World Wide Advertising and Interactive, and Vice President of Worldwide Brand. Erika began her career on the agency side, having worked at Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide in New York and additional agencies in Boston, New Jersey and Dallas, eventually joining her client at IBM in 1996. Deirdre has been honored with a number of awards throughout her career, including AWNY Top 50 Women in Advertising, the Gertrude Crain Award for Top Women in Business Marketing, B2B Magazine Top Marketer and Top Integrated Campaign and Working Mother Magazine’s Top “Established Mom” Award.

Global Head of Diversity & Inclusion

Erika Irish Brown is Bloomberg L.P.’s Global Head of Diversity and Inclusion. In this role, Erika leads the development, implementation and monitoring of a global program to advance diversity and inclusion across the company’s human resources, including recruitment, retention, talent review, succession planning, career development and training. She is also active in promoting an institutional culture and inclusive environment to support diversity in all aspects of business. Prior to joining Bloomberg, Erika was Bank of America’s Head of Diversity Recruiting, Program Management and Executive Recruiting. She has over 15 years of investment banking and capital markets experience at Morgan Stanley, the U.S. Treasury and Lehman Brothers.
Megan Murphy

Editor, Bloomberg Businessweek

Megan Murphy was named editor of Bloomberg Businessweek in November 2016. Prior to joining the magazine, Murphy was Bloomberg's Washington Bureau Chief since August 2015, overseeing the news organization's coverage of the Federal Reserve, government, financial regulation, campaign finance and politics. Earlier in her career, Murphy worked at Bloomberg as a legal affairs correspondent from 2004-2007. Before her return to Bloomberg in 2015, Murphy was the Washington Bureau Chief at the Financial Times where she had worked since December 2007. In her time at the FT, she launched its award-winning Fast FT digital platform, delivering breaking financial news and information 24 hours a day, around the world. Murphy also served as the law courts correspondent, investment banking correspondent and chief media correspondent there. Before starting her career in journalism, Murphy was a securities lawyer at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati in Palo Alto, CA. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Yale University, a master’s degree from Columbia School of Journalism, and a Juris Doctor from Northwestern University School of Law. She is from Chicago, Illinois.
