A cancer diagnosis made Diem Brown realize what is important in life.

Diem's Biography

Place of Birth: Germany
Role Models: Katie Couric and Barbara Walters
Childhood Nickname: Danger Mouse
To Her 15-Year-Old Self: "Do your homework."

Diem Brown’s battle with ovarian cancer was caught on camera while she was a cast member on MTV’s Real World/Road Rules Challenge: Fresh Meat. Through this experience, she became a role model for strength and perseverance. Diem is now the Founder of the non-profit, MedGift, which is inspired by her experiences as a patient. The organization is the first medical gift registry and is working to change the way the public views health and charity. Brown has now overcome cancer twice. After going into remission in 2006, the cancer resurfaced in 2011, and she has, happily, gone into remission again.
