To a spectator, snowboarders may seem like they're off-the-wall risk-takers. But, according to Olympic snowboarder Kelly Clark, most athletes in her sport are extremely calculated in their decisions.

Kelly's Biography

Mount Snow, Vermont:"We lived in a mountain town and snowboarded and skied all winter."
Family of Food: Clark's parents owned a restaurant growing up.
Trendsetter:"I always say that I started snowboarding before it was cool. There was no X Games, there was no Olympics. Snowboarding started officially -- Burton Snowboards -- in 1977."
Higher Math Score or Higher Verbal Score:Neither.

Kelly Clark is a two-time Olympic medalist. She won the gold in 2002 and the bronze in 2010. A trailblazer in women's snowboarding, Clark has upped the game for her sport, pushing the amplitude and setting new records. In 2011, Clark became the first woman to successfully complete a 1080 on the women's halfpipe. In 2013, Clark celebrated her 60th career win, amassing more wins than any male or female snowboarder. At 30-years-old, Clark returns for her fourth Winter Olympics in Sochi.
