Laura LeFever is currently a Strategic Planning Director at Maxus, leading the NBCU TV East Coast business. In her role, Laura oversees the comms planning & integrated media planning teams that work across 14 Business Units: USA, Bravo, Syfy, Oxygen, CNBC Prime, Sprout, News, NBC News, MSNBC, NBC Owned Stations, Domestic Distribution, NBC Sports Network, Golf & the Content Innovation Agency (CIA). Laura joined the NBCU team when they consolidated their offline business at Maxus in 2011, and was part of the successful digital pitch in 2014. Laura’s team won a Gold Effie in 2015 for NBC Sports Network’s launch of the English Premier League. Prior to working on NBCU, Laura ran the Powermat business at Maxus. She was responsible for leading the team that launched the first wireless charging device in the US market. Laura provided strategic guidance across broadcast, print, OOH, digital, mobile and social media, ensuring all channels worked in tandem to help exceed sales goals by 60%. Laura joined Maxus in 2008 from its sister company, Mindshare, where she spent nine years in both the New York and Los Angeles offices. Laura’s seventeen year media career has spanned major categories including entertainment, consumer electronics, finance, CPG, pharmaceutical and toys. The majority of her career has been spent working with Entertainment clients Miramax (at Maxus), 20th Century Fox, Fox Searchlight, and Summit Entertainment to launch their theatrical releases, specializing in developing target audiences and insights for varied films including “Doubt,” “Twilight,” “Walk the Line,” “The Devil Wears Prada,” and “Borat.”
