Through mentoring, tutoring and directing Foster Youth Empowerment workshops, Nikki Henderson developed her passion for youth leadership among communities of color. Combining this enthusiasm with an interest in environmental sustainability, she is now serving as the Executive Director of People’s Grocery, a food justice organization whose mission is to improve the health and economy of West Oakland, California through the local food system.
