Committed to the merging of art and technology and the opportunities therein, she is also the organizer of the Arts, Culture & Technology Meetup in New York City. Additionally, she co-founded Blue Box Gallery, a pop-up gallery dedicated to getting new media art seen. In 2011, Julia was named one of Fast Company's Most Influential Women in Technology. She was also a finalist for the World Technology Network Award in the Arts.
