Editor-In-Chief of xoJane.com, Jane Pratt would like to change how women are taught to compete with each other for everything from husbands to jobs.

Jane's Biography

Hippies in North Carolina:Amid the conservative bible-belt faction, Pratt's family were the "weirdos on the block."
Straight "A" Student:"I was always a really, really good student and I did well in math and science."
Early Aspirations:"I knew that I wanted to start a magazine since I was 15."
Early bird or Night owl:Night owl.

Over the last 25 years, Jane Pratt has given an authentic voice to women through media. She is the founding editor of "Sassy", "Jane", current editor-in-chief of xoJane.com, and current host of Sirius XM Radio talk show "Jane Radio".

At only 24-years-old, Pratt became a founding editor of the groundbreaking "Sassy" magazine. The teen publication was the first of its kind not to shy away from topics that teenagers actually wanted to talk about - namely sex, drugs and rock n' roll. Although short-lived, "Sassy" has had a major impact on the way the media interacts with women and girls today.

Like "Sassy" and "Jane" before it, xoJane.com is written by mostly women with strong voices, identities and opinions where "women go to be their unabashed selves, and where their unabashed selves are applauded - regardless of age, size, ability, location, occupation, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, economic status, relationship status, sexual preferences or lifestyle choices."
