The Best MAKERS Reactions to Viola Davis' Emmy Win
The 67th annual Emmy Awards that premiered on Sunday night proved to be a monumental and congratulatory event.
A firsts on many counts, the show became a particular topic of change when actress Viola Davis made history as the first African-American to win an Emmy for best lead actress on a drama series for her leading role in "How to Get Away With Murder," produced by showrunner and MAKER Shonda Rhimes.
As suspected, the Internet went nuts with admiration and enthusiasm for Davis' win and heartfelt speech, for which she quoted Harriet Tubman before thanking a handful of other black women actors and fellow-nominees like Kerry Washington, Taraji P. Henson, and Gabrielle Union.
Check out our favorite reactions from MAKERS below.
