Chelsea Clinton On Motherhood, Her New Book, and Her Mother's Presidential Campaign
Chelsea Clinton, the daughter of former President Bill Clinton and Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, appeared on "TODAY" Tuesday morning to discuss her new book, life, motherhood and her mother’s campaign.
Clinton's new book, "It's Your World: Get Informed, Get Inspired and Get Going!" is aimed at explaining climate change, poverty, access to education and other important global issues to young people between the ages of 10 and 14, according to "TODAY."
"When I talk to kids today, they're curious about the world around us. I think they're more engaged than adults often think they are and they want to know what they can do," Clinton told "TODAY" host Savannah Guthrie.
She hopes the book will help younger generations make a difference in the world.
Clinton, who has spoken out about gender equality and the lack of female leadership around the world, also talked her mother's presidential campaign.
"I love and admire my mom. I know that she's talking about issues that are important to families across our country," she said.
"I believe that is starting to resonate. I believe as more and more Americans hear from her, they'll come to know why I'm so proud to be my mother's daughter."
Clinton also shared how "surprisingly delightful" it has been to see her parents as grandparents.
Her daughter Charlotte has been an important topic of Hillary's campaign.
"I understand why Charlotte is really her north star in this race," Clinton told Guthrie.
Clinton believes that Charlotte is shaping her mother's vision for the future.
