Disney's Coming Out with a New Princess Film

Disney is bringing a new princess to the big screen.

Get ready to explore the tale of "Moana," a young Hawaiian woman who sets off on an epic journey to an extraordinary island alongside her hero, the legendary demo-god Maui.

Moana will be played by 14-year-old actress and Hawaiian-native Auli'I Cravalho.

"Moana is such an amazing character," Cravalho told People.

"She's brave, she is so empowered, she knows what she wants and she's not afraid to get it, and I think that's something that I can relate to as well. I just love watching how she goes along in this wonderful movie and grows as a person and helps her culture along the way."

Cravalho will work along side of Dwayne John in the film, which is set to release on November 23, 2016.
