Ellen DeGeneres to Executive Produce Dr. Seuss Netflix Series

Ellen DeGeneres will be teaming up with Warner Bros. TV Group and Netflix to turn Dr. Seuss' beloved "Green Eggs and Ham" into an animated TV series. The talk show host will serve as executive producer on the future project that's due out in 2018.

Netflix's Vice President of original content, Cindy Holland, delivered the news announcement in the best way possible:

"We think this will be a hit
Green Eggs and Ham is a perfect fit
for our growing slate of amazing stories
available exclusively in all Netflix territories.
You can stream it on a phone.
You can stream it on your own.
You can stream it on TV.
You can stream it globally."

DeGeneres became involved with the project through Warner Bros., reports Variety. She has a production company at subsidiary Telepictures Productions, which produces her talk show. The comedian was suggested for the adaptation because her fun lighthearted disposition is well aligned with Seuss Enterprises' tone. We think her tweet about it says it all:
