ESSENCE to Celebrate Black Women in Hollywood Awards' 10th Anniversary This Month

On Thursday, February 23, ESSENCE magazine will celebrate its annual Black Women in Hollywood Awards at the Beverly Hills Wilshire to celebrate the publication's 10-year anniversary.

While dozens of Hollywood's next generation of stars will be celebrated at the event, the night's honorees will be none other than Issa Rae of "Insecure," Janelle Monáe of "Hidden Figures," Aja Naomi King of "How To Get Away With Murder," and Yara

"This past year has been an exceptional one for diversity in film and television," ESSENCE Editor-in-Chief Vanessa K. De Luca stated, "And with the incredible contributions of Janelle, Issa, Aja and Yara, it is fitting that our 10th anniversary will honor the future of Hollywood and its continued steps on the path to inclusion."
