Gabby Douglas Is the First-Ever Change Ambassador for This Wonderful Initiative

If you remember the #Love4GabbyUSA hashtag championed by actress Leslie Jones during the Rio 2016 Olympics, you know that gymnast Gabby Douglas has encountered cyberbullying.

But the talented Olympian refuses to let it stop her. In fact, she is turning it into good by leveraging her voice as the first-ever change ambassador for Hack Harassment.

Hack Harassment — a part of Lady Gaga's Born This Way Foundation — is an initiative that recognizes the fact that "Online harassment has become a pervasive and often vicious problem with real-life repercussions," and that the issue is a "hackable" one, which we can change "by working together... to promote safer, more inclusive online experiences for everyone."

"I just want to say that you are not alone," Douglas told Michael Strahan on "Good Morning America." "And even though it may seem the world's against you — and I definitely felt like the world was definitely against me in Rio — I'm here today to tell you that's not the case... There are people out there who love you and your life is very valuable and it's very important."
