Women have made a lot of progress, but there is so much more to be done and we need your help. One of the problems is that there is a dearth of role models for young women and if she can't see it, she can't be it — so AOL's MAKERS is working to fill that void by chronicling the stories of women today to shape the leaders — or "MAKERS" — of tomorrow. MAKERS and Global Citizen are partnering together to capture, through video, the stories of young women who have accomplished extraordinary achievements, and we need YOU to share those stories with us — we are making YOU the filmmakers.

All you need to do is download the MAKERS Stories app, interview a young woman or girl 13 or older who inspires you most and share her story on MAKERS.com for the world to see. Make sure you ask her the following questions: (1) How would you describe yourself? (2) If you could make one thing better about the world, what would it be? (2) How are you going to help make this change happen? (3) What would the world look like after this change? One winner will be invited to attend The 2017 MAKERS Conference in February in California.

Please share your story using the hashtags, #WhatsYourStory #ShowUp.
