Golden Globes 2017 Winners: See the List

Who is ready for those Golden Globe results?

The 2017 Golden Globes took place on Sunday night, and several of your favorite celebrities walked away winners. We predicted a few of the wins earlier this week, but there were some surprises. It is the Golden Globes, after all! The Hollywood Foreign Press thought The Martian was a comedy. Everything and anything is possible.

Real talk, though: Every win this evening was well-deserved. It was a stunning year for entertainment, and all of the nominated movies and TV shows were worthy of gold statuettes. From the nuanced performances in FX's "The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story" to Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone charming the world in "La La Land," there was something for everyone this year.

Of course, there were some snubs. We're particularly peeved that the female-helmed films "Ghostbusters" and "How to Be Single" weren't nominated this year. In fact, there weren't any films with female screenwriters or directors nominated. What gives, Hollywood Foreign Press? Our saving graces were Natalie Portman, Viola Davis, Felicity Huffman, and the slew of other talented female actresses who received nominations this year and represented women. Slay all day, you screen queens!

Not surprising, the 2017 television nominees were lightyears more diverse than the film categories. From FX's "Atlanta" to Issa Rae in "Insecure" to Tracee Ellis Ross in "Black-ish," TV is proving to be a much more progressive medium than film. Black actresses did dominate the Best Supporting Actress film category, but that's it. And that's not OK. Do better, movies! Check out the full Golden Globes 2017 winners list, below.
