Hillary Clinton's Post-Election Day Mantra Will Ignite Your Inner Boldness
"Resist, insist, persist, enlist," MAKER Hillary Clinton urged a sold out crowd in San Francisco on Tuesday night. And ever since the results rolled in on election night, marking the end of a long, heated election season, this has been her mantra.
While these words have helped Clinton make it through the months since November, they will likely inspire you to #BEBOLD as well.
Clinton shared several other pieces of wisdom in her speech. Here are some of her best quotes on the future of women:
• "I've been saying for a long time, as many of you have, that advancing the rights and opportunities of women and girls is the great, unfinished business of the 21st century."
• "I am here today to urge us not to grow tired. Not to be discouraged and disappointed."
• "We need more women at any table, on any conference call, or email chain where decisions are made."
• "Corporate feminism is no substitute for inclusive, concrete solutions that improve life for women everywhere."
Although her message was sincere and vital to women in the world, she threw in several jokes throughout, noting she is "thrilled to be out of the woods" and emphasizing there is no place she would rather be than with the inspiring women in the audience, of course, "other than the White House."
