Meet the Woman Who Defeated UFC's Ronda Rousey

Professional boxer and MMA fighter Holly Holm beat the undefeated Ronda Rousey on Saturday night in what is being called the "biggest upset in UFC history."

Holm defeated Rousey at UFC 193 in Melbourne, Australia, with a knockout 59 seconds into the second round.

Before Holm shocked fans on Sunday, she was relatively unknown. Here's what you should know about her.

The new champion is from Albuquerque, N.M.

According to TIME, she is a former pro boxer and kickboxer, and has held the world championship title in boxing.

Since transitioning from boxing to MMA in 2011, she has won all of her professional MMA fights.

Holm has won seven of her 10 fights by knockout — and she's known for head kicks.
