Lena Dunham Is About to Make Your Book Club Much Better

By Meredith Lepore

Apparently Lena Dunham wasn't busy enough with writing, directing and producing "Girls," her feminist newsletter Lenny and just being all around awesome. Now she is creating her own book imprint for Random House along with her partner in crime Jenni Konner.

"The imprint will be a home for the kinds of exciting, emerging voices — in fiction and non-fiction — that Lena [Dunham] and Jenni Konner are already attracting and publishing so successfully in their newsletter and on their site," said Random House Vice President Andy Ward. "Working with Lena, Jenni and the editors of Lenny, we plan to publish a select numbers of titles each year to build a varied, compelling, and voice-driven list."

Dunham told Buzzfeed that she wants Lenny books "to push the ball forward on the issues that matter to our audience with wit and style. We hope to see them sticking out of purses and riding public transportation everywhere." Sounds good to us.
