MAKER Pat Mitchell Reports Live from Beijing
This week is a meeting of MAKERS around the world! MAKER Pat Mitchell has traveled to Beijing to meet with Yang Lan for her "Her Village International Forum on 'Women: Power to Change the World.'" Mitchell works to lead the discussion about the significance of media in today’s world, and she'll be speaking on women's leadership at the conference along with Debora Spar, president of Barnard College, and leading Chinese women including Mingshun Li, the vice president of China Woman's University.
Yang Lan is MAKERS' first global MAKER and partnered with MAKERS to launch MAKERS China. She's commonly referred to as “the Oprah of China,” and, as co-founder of Sun Media Group, she's one of the most powerful woman in Chinese media. Sun Media Group includes Her Village, a TV show and website that reaches over 200 million women a month.
