Meet the Actress Who Was Just Cast to Play Hillary Clinton in Upcoming Biopic

A new film about Hillary Clinton's coming-of-age story just cast its very own young Hillary.

The 2016 presidential candidate will be played by 25-year-old Addison Timlin. The film follow's Clinton on her gap year working in Alaska in 1969 before attending Yale Law School.

Timlin started her career on Broadway playing every orphan in "Annie" before becoming Annie herself. She's since filled roles in indie films and the "Californication" series.

She told Buzzfeed that the film, titled "When I'm a Moth," isn't a simple biopic.

"It's less about that time in her life and [more] about… this young woman starting to have the understanding that her life from that point forward will be lived in a very specific way as to not disturb anyone — to become a very well-liked person," Timlin told Buzzfeed.

Timlin, much like Clinton is also a political activist. She attended the Women’s March in January with her boyfriend, known as Lip Gallagher of "Shameless" fame, Jeremy Allen White.

"I think a lot of people feel that way about Hillary Clinton, that she's always tried to be liked and that’s what people have veered away from. It's interesting, but I think it's something, unfortunately, women all over the world deal with in every way — this tragic need to be liked," Timlin told Buzzfeed.
